Iowa is NOT the laziest state in the United States of America. I actually really did think Iowa would rank in the top ten of least lazy states. For one, everyone seems to go to sleep at a reasonable time and tend to get up early (my first observation of Iowa) to get to work. For another, farming. Isn't farming some of the hardest work there is?!
Anyway, Iowa is ranked mid-pack. 24/7 Street ranked all 50 states. We are the 26th laziest state or 24th least lazy state (did I do the math correctly). How did we get pulled to mid-pack? The study ranks the obesity rate and I guess all those scotchroos add up because we are eighth in the nation when it comes to the obesity rate.
