Betty White Getting Her Own Day In Her Birthplace

Betty White was born in Oak Park, Illinois, a Chicago suburb, just West of the City of Chicago. She moved away when she was young, but always fondly speaks of Oak Park.

Betty White passed away on Friday, the last day of the year. She would have turned 100 on January 17th. The City of Oak Park will honor Betty White on January 17th. There will be a mural contest and the winning mural of Betty White will be painted in Oak Park. Mickey's Restaurant will serve one of her favorite meals - a hot dog, fried and a diet coke.

Cutouts of Betty White will be visible throughout the downtown Oak Park area on January 17th and famous Turano Bakery will provide cake!
