Monday Motivation Minute: How To Keep Up the Energy With Less Daylight

I don't know about you, but this time of the year, it's hard to get up in the morning and it's hard to motivate to do stuff other than watch TV at the end of the day! It's time for help!

Experts have useful tips on keeping the energy up as the days get darker.

Morning Sunshine. Make sure you are maximizing your dose! Take a quick walk in the morning and soak it in. Open the shades ASAP upon waking.

Exercise. Now more than ever we need those endorphins! Don't skip your workout and look at it like it's just as important for mental health and physical health. Experts say a morning workout may be more beneficial than before bed.

Focus on a health diet. Put good, healthy nutrients in your body. They will help your mental just as much as your physical.

Reduce inflammation. Inflammation leads to lower levels of seratonin which are important to helping us sleep. Eat oily fish like salmon to reduce inflammation.

Get sleep, good sleep. Like they always say, avoid doomscrolling before bed so that you can get quality sleep. Avoid that blue light before bed!
