Mountain Lion Has Cruised Through Indianola

In recent months, there have been multiple sightings of a mountain lion in Central Iowa. Last month, he (or she) was spotted in Warren and Madison counties. There was a false report of a mountain lion on the East Side last week. Apparently, it was really a large house cat.

However, over the weekend, there were two sightings of this animal in Indianola and then, on Sunday, it appears he had been spotted six miles east of Indianola.

The Iowa Department of Natural Resources says a mountain lion probably spots you before you spot them and don't want to be bothered or bother you. If you spot one, you should move away slowly and then call 911.
