Race For The Cure
Iowa State Capitol
Saturday, October 27, 2018
The Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure® Series is the world's largest and most successful education and fundraising event for breast cancer ever created. The series of 5K runs and fitness walks raises significant funds and awareness for the breast cancer movement, celebrates breast cancer survivorship and honors those who have lost their battle with the disease. The Komen Race Series welcomes people of all ages and fitness levels, from walkers to elite runners.
Joining a Race is just one of the ways you can get involved and be a part of the Komen family. On October 27th, plan to join Komen Greater Iowa for the 27th annual Race for the Cure. All proceeds go toward the fight to end breast cancer. 75 percent of Race for the Cure's proceeds stays in our community to support women's health and local breast cancer support programs, while 25 percent helps fund world class breast cancer research.
Did you know that your registration fee helps to put on the Race? Your FUNDRAISING dollars go toward the fight against breast cancer!! We need YOUR help! Build a team, create some fun events to raise money (bingo, raffles, car wash, lemonade stand, garage sale, etc.) This year’s Team Incentives will be an added bonus to being #MoreThanPink!
