Childish Gambino And Rihanna's 'Guava Island' Is Streaming Free Right Now

There's a lot of buzz surrounding this year's Coachella festival (*NSYNC performing with Ariana Grande! BLACKPINK's historic set! Kanye's Sunday Service!) but one thing that has people really excited is the premiere of Childish Gambino's (aka Donald Glover) film, Guava Island. Luckily, you don't have to be a festival goer or wait for a live stream to watch the movie. It's streaming for free right now on Amazon Prime, and will be available to view without cost until 9pm EST regardless of having and Amazon Prime account.

The 55-minute-long film stars Glover as Deni — a musician who plans a music festival to bring peace to his tropical island home — and Rihanna as his skeptical girlfriend Kofi. It also features Letitia Wright and Nonso Anozie. It was directed by Glover's longtime collaborator Hiro Murai (Atlanta, "This Is America"), written by his brother Stephen Glover and filmed in Cuba.

The film also includes a large musical component, remixing Childish Gambino songs like "Summertime Magic" and "Saturday" and completely reconceptualizing "This Is America."

“I’m really humbled having the opportunity to present something this timely and timeless," Glover said of the project. "Between Rihanna and the people of Cuba, this is one of my favorite projects I’ve ever worked on."
