Queen Elizabeth ‘Exhausted, Both Physically And Emotionally’ After Megxit

Members Of The Royal Family Attend Events To Mark The Centenary Of The RAF

Queen Elizabeth is over all the drama. The past year has been a "turbulent" one for the Royal Family, to say the least. One source of tension for Her Majesty and her descendants is Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's decision to step down from their positions as full-time working members of the Royal Family. Not only did they step down from their duties, they moved to Canada with their young son Archie.

While the Duke and Duchess of Sussex hoped for a more peaceful life abroad, their decision, unfortunately, seems to created more drama between themselves and the Queen. The Sussexes' and Her Majesty appear to be feuding over whether Harry and Meghan can use the word "royal" in any of their branding. Queen Elizabeth banned the couple from continuing to brand themselves "Sussex Royal," which they reportedly believe is "payback" for deciding to step down.

A source close to the Royal Family spoke with Us Weekly about the situation, telling the gossip magazine the Queen is "exhausted, both physically and emotionally. She’s approaching her 94th birthday in April and should be at a stage in her life where she can ease up and be supported by her loved ones. The drama's never-ending. She’s so frustrated.”

Another source told Us Weekly Queen Elizabeth is "so disappointed that her own grandchild would heap so much embarrassment on the monarchy and bring all this unwanted attention on his family at the worst possible time.

The long-reigning monarch is determined to get the whole 'Megxit' situation "over and done with" as soon as possible. She reportedly sees the whole thing as "damaging to the monarchy and on a personal level I think this has been rather hurtful for her,” an insider told Vanity Fair. “She has got to the point where she doesn’t want to think about it anymore."
