Halsey Honors Late Rapper Juice WRLD With Symbolic Tattoo

Halseyโ€™s newest tattoo pays homage to the late rapper Juice WRLD.

This week, the singer-songwriter gave fans a look at some new body ink she got in Juice's memory.

Halsey took to Instagram to debut some meaningful artwork, which features โ€œLifeโ€™s a mess 999โ€ written in cursive font on the back of her hand. The message symbolizes not only the โ€œYou Should Be Sadโ€ singerโ€™s posthumous collaboration with the departed musician (โ€œLifeโ€™s A Messโ€), but also makes use of Juiceโ€™s favorite number, which he explained means making good of something bad.

As fans know, the "Lucid Dreams" star passed away at the age of 21 after suffering a seizure on December 8, 2019, at an airport in Chicago. Following his untimely death, his mother, Carmela Wallace even launched a "999" charity foundation in his memory to help young people suffering from mental health struggles.

"Juice was one of the greatest people I have ever known, and one of the most brilliant artists we will ever live to witness,โ€ Halsey wrote with a pic of her new ink on Instagram. โ€œA true genius who had lyric and melody spilling out of him without any second thought or hesitation. And a beautiful soul who believed in spreading love and creating a community for people to feel less alone.โ€

"It means everything to me that I could be a part of this album. I cried the first time that I heard it,โ€ she concluded with love, referring to the track she recorded for Juiceโ€™s forthcoming posthumous project, Legends Never Die, which includes a trove of songs he'd worked on before his death.

Juice WRLDโ€™s newest album drops this Friday, July 10. In the meantime, listen to "Life's A Mess" above.
