Letitia Wright Defends Herself After Posting Anti-Vaccination Video

Letitia Wright has responded to criticism after she shared anti-vaccination propaganda.

On Thursday (December 3), the Black Panther star posted a Youtube video to Twitter that showed a senior leader with Light London Church making unsubstantiated claims about coronavirus vaccines.

"I don't understand vaccines medically, but I've always been a little bit of a skeptic of them," Tomi Arayomi said early in the video before going on to share his unsubstantiated claims and personal feelings on vaccines.

The backlash to Letitia's sharing of the 69-minute video, which she's since deleted from her Twitter, was swift and fierce as the 27-year-old actress' fans and followers called her out for being "reckless" and "irresponsible."

On Friday (December 4), Letitia returned to Twitter to share her reasonings for posting the controversial video, writing, “My intention was not to hurt anyone, my ONLY intention of posting the video was it raised my concerns with what the vaccine contains and what we are putting in our bodies. Nothing else."

Among those to criticize Letitia for the post was fellow Marvel star Don Cheadle, who called the video "hot garbage."

"every time i stopped and listened, he and everything he said sounded crazy and fkkkd up," he added. "i would never defend anybody posting this. but i still won't throw her away over it."
