According to the Des Moines Register, some new establishments will be popping up in East Village. Some of the spots are kind of a musical chairs type situation. The Continental on Locust closed in 2020. It will re-open with live music at the spot once occupied by Dirt Burger, next to Up/Down. Dirt Burger may reopen elsewhere.
What about the spot occupied by the old The Continental? A coastal Mexican restaurant will reopen in its place in the coming months!!!
