Monday Motivation Minute: Just a Short Walk Can Help Bust Depression

If you're not feeling mentally well, try taking a walk. While we were in lockdown a couple of years ago, getting out of the house for some fresh air was a game changer for so many. Now, we have stats to back the fresh air as a depression buster. The CDC says that getting just briskly walking for 75 minutes per week can lessen depression by 18%. It is recommended that we all get a 150 minutes of exercise a week (30 minutes per day, five times per week). If you walk for 150 minutes per week, you'll be able to lessen depression by 25%. Researchers say getting more than that amount of exercise doesn't lessen depression symptoms further.
