Record store day is this Saturday, April 23rd. You can be sure that your favorite Des Moines vinyl spots are celebrating! Marv's Record Shop in East Village will open at 8am and have a list of the special titles and quantities for sale for Record Store Day! They are encouraging fans to line up early to get their favorite releases.
ZZZ Records on Ingersoll is, also, opening at 8am. They will have a tent set up to purchase Record Store Day releases. After 10am, records will be 15% off if you're not just there for the special releases.
Taylor Swift is the Global Ambassador for Record Store Day and has a special release. However, you should know, our local record shops have very limited quantities of the release! It is a 7" special version of "The Lakes" from "Folklore." Only 10,000 issues of the record total will be released. Good luck!
