On June 17th, ESPN launched Fifty/50 World, which is an immersive digital destination that amplifies ESPN's content around the 50th Anniversary of Title IX. Through June 30th, the Fifty/50 World will feature content watch/listen parties, guest speakers and virtual games over two weeks.
"Over the course of two weeks, fans are going to be able to deep dive into this interactive and shared 3D world together to uncover more stories of Title IX and the women moving the world forward." said Kati Fernandez, Director of Original Content & Integration, ESPN.
According to ABC 7, within the world there is Julie Foundy's Laughter Permitted Podcast, Fifty50 x Special Olympics discussion with Loretta Clairborne and Novie Craven, The Ultimate Fighter: Julianna Peña vs. Amanda Nunes and more. ESPN's Wide World of Sports in Orlando will also have a Fifty/50 World content on digital screens throughout the space and will be guiding guests to help activate it on their mobile devices. The Walt Disney Company's Fifty50 campaign is celebrating the 50th anniversary of Title IX, which is the landmark civil rights law that prohibits sex-based discrimination at educational institutions who receive money from the federal government. Multi-talented Sofia Carson will be hosting their upcoming, "Our America: Fifty50" hourlong special on ABC and to her Fifty50 means justice.
