Just a day after organizers said Woodstock 50 would not happen, it might. The financial backer, Dentsu, announced the cancellation saying it would happen. The LLC known as Woodstock 50 denied the cancellation and said it's still going on. The concert in Bethel, New York is to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the original Woodstock festival, the Grandaddy of festivals as we know them today.
Artist who have been slated to play the festival have been paid down payments. There are rumblings that all permits have not been secured yet. Woodstock LLC said they are committed to creating a festival deserving of its iconic name and place in history.
Jay-Z, Halsey, Imagine Dragons and the Killers were among the headliners that may or may not play in New York in August.
