I met the man that i've been waiting for my entire life. . . Lloyd Dobler. If you have no idea what i'm talking about and you like Rom Coms, you need to do yourself a favor and check out "Say Anything," you can download it from Prime.
Say Anything is 30 years old and it instantly became my very favorite movie of all time the first time I saw it. It's one of the only movies I can watch over and over again. It holds such a special piece of my heart. Cliff notes. Lloyd is a cool guy who kind of marches to the beat of his own drum. He's loveable and has primarily girl friends. Diane Court is the class valedictorian who has worked very hard academically, but not necessarily, socially. And she's beautiful. Lloyd decides to ask her out on a date. . . and the rest is history. It's just honest.
John Cusack portrayed Lloyd Dobler in the movie and he's going around the country holding Q&As about his career. The discussion was decent, I was just hoping that it would have been more about my favorite movie, but he was really cool. He seems to really be about the craft of acting and not at all about celebrity. I mean you never hear about him on TMZ. He's just cool. He was very nice and I MET LLOYD DOBLER!! Woah.
