Fourth Of July in Des Moines

Here's a list of Fourth of July festivities in Des Moines!

Urbandale

July 2 - 4th: Red, White and Urbandale

The Urbandale Chamber of Commerce invites you to Red, White and Urbandale in Lions Park. Hours are Tuesday (July 2) 5pm - 11pm; Wednesday (July 3) 5pm - 11:30pm and Thursday (July 4) 7:30am - 11pm. Enjoy a carinval in Lions Park. The Fourth of July parade is 2 miles long and starts at 11am on Thursday at Old City Hall. Fireworks start at 10pm at Walker Johnston Park.

Downtown

Yankee Doodle Pops on July 3rd at 8:30pm at the West Terrace of the Iowa State Capitol. Enjoy music from the Des Moines Symphony and fireworks over the Des Moines skyline.

Fourth of July by the River happens along Robert D. Ray Drive from 12pm - 11pm on Thursday.

Iowa Cubs Fireworks at Principal Park on July 4th following the Iowa Cubs game

Ceviche Bar having a Fourth of July Party on the Patio starting at noon on July 4th

Altoona

Fourth of July Celebration at the Outlets of Des Moines from 6pm - 9pm.

West Des Moines

West Des Moines Independence Day Parade (with Bernie Sanders) July 3rd from 6:30pm - 8:30pm at Valley High School.

Fireworks Display at Raccoon River Park on July 4th (2500 Grand Avenue) at dusk.

Waukee

Celebration July 3rd and July 4th in Centennial Park. Carnival opens on July 3rd at 5pm with an outdoor screening of "We Bought A Zoo" at 8:45pm.
