For one week, an alligator made a lagoon in the City of Chicago its habitat. The City was on Gator watch 2019 as Animal Control tried to no avail to catch the gator. Finally, new Mayor Lori Lightfoot called in a gator expert. At 1:30am Tuesday morning, the expert, Frank Robb, was able to catch the alligator nicknamed Chance the Snapper.
For the time being, Chance will make his home in a Chicago animal sanctuary until a permanent home can be found for the five feet three gator.
