I love the heartwarming stories that are coming out of the pandemic. The father of an eleven year old South Dakota girl documented the incredible thing his daughter did in a series of tweets. His daughter, Emerson, likes to write letters. She colors and draws on the envelopes. She decided to send her mail carrier, Doug, a letter. She thanked him for delivering her brightly colored envelopes. He was so touched by this gesture, he showed the letter to his boss. His boss sent it up higher and it ended up in the US Postal workers newsletter. Postal workers all over were, also, touched that Emerson took the time to recognize the importance of a mail carrier. The letter carriers started sending Emerson letters. Some of the letters contained stamps for her to start a collection of her own. How sweet is this?!
