They seemed to hold out as long as they could, but in the end, organizers have made the call to cancel this year's Des Moines Arts Festival. It had been scheduled for June 26-28 downtown. The event is always full of world class art, interactive activities for children, and terrific live music, featuring both national and local acts. Bummer.
According to an article in the Des Moines Register, there will be other programs including the ability to watch the Interrobang Film Festival on a Smart TV June 26 -28.
The 2021 Des Moines Arts Festival is planned for June 25-27.
