The Webbys At Home were held this week and the winners included those who have gotten innovative with keeping us entertained during a pandemic. If you're not familiar, the Webbys recognize excellence on the internet.
This year's virtual awards were hosted by Patton Oswalt. All winners were able to give a five word speech. If only all award shows could be this brief!!!
Miley Cyrus received a Special Achievement Award, presented by Demi Lovato, for her Instagram show "Bright Minded," where she attempts to show us how to stay lit during this dark time.
My hero of the quarantine, DJ D-Nice, was presented with the Artist of the Year Award from Michelle Obama. If you're not familiar D-Nice djs on Instagram Live. His #ClubQuarantine is filled with celeb guests including Donnie Wahlberg, Halle Berry, Michelle Obama, Rihanna, Mariah Carey, and so many others. I sincerely don't know what I would have done without DJ Nice during this time. Music truly unites and heals and he was at the helm of a lot of people's living room dance parties, including mine. He's now a brand! And a very kind person who is using his platform for good.
Other winners at this year's Webbys included: Kristen Bell, Ellen DeGeneres, the Houseparty App, and James Corden.
