Megan Thee Stallion Speaks Out After Shooting Incident

Megan Thee Stallion went live on Instagram Monday afternoon to set the record straight after being shot in the feet. She said, "I'm back." At times her live stream got emotional. She explained that she wanted to set the record straight and control her own narrative after so many false stories have been circulating. She confirmed that she did get shot in both feet and had to have surgery. She said it was "super scary" and the "worst experience of my life." After some nervous laughter, she said the situation is "nothing to joke about" and "I didn't deserve to get shot. I didn't do (expletive)."

Why did it take so long to speak out? She explained, "I wasn't protecting anyone. I just wasn't ready to talk, it's not something you take to social media." She said the problem with many is that they use social media as a journal.

She said she's taken some time for herself and thought about how to move forward and how to protect her energy. She got emotional when she explained that she's still healing from the death of her mother, who was her best friend. She was just "moving too fast" and thought that she was filling her life with people who made her happy, but wasn't taking time for herself. Lesson learned? Surround yourself with people who have your best interests at heart and will cultivate your energy, not diminish it.
