A new study finds that along with bigger houses and nicer cars, the rich, also, get better sleep! The study found that only 55% of those living in poverty got enough sleep every night. However, nearly 70% of wealthy people get the necessary seven to eight hours of sleep per night.
Researchers haven't figured out exactly why the rich get more sleep than the poor other than they may live in areas where there are less distractions and live in homes where there are less people per space allowing for a better sleep atmosphere.
It's stressful to be poor. I would figure stress from trying to pay bills, hold down multiple jobs, etc... would not allow for great sleep.
The American Sleep Association says we should get 7 to 8 hours of sleep every night and go to bed at roughly the same time every day. They, also, say we should avoid naps because that can lead to nighttime insomnia. Exercise is highly recommended to assist in getting adequate sleep .
