Norwalk upbringing, Hollywood superstardom. Jason Momoa recently did an interview with InStyle magazine and revealed that life hasn't always been easy, even when he became a Hollywood Star. Momoa, who was raised by a single mom in Norwalk, Iowa, found his calling as an actor at 19 in Baywatch: Hawaii. After that gig, he decided to ditch his original marine biology plans. Eventually, he found himself on one of the biggest shows on the planet, Game Of Thrones, in 2011. However, his character was killed off after the first season, before the show grew to the height of its popularity. Soon after, he was unemployed and struggling to pay the bills. Eventually, though, the planets aligned and he became a super hero, which is very lucrative in Hollywood. The bills get paid today and now he flies to Iowa on private plan. He's even booked with work through 2024!
