No more movies and brews at Merle Hay Mall for the foreseeable future. According to an article in the Des Moines Register, Flix Brewhouse has closed its doors. The movie theatre/brewery shut down in March when many outlets were told to close due to COVID-19. Flix Brewhouse at Merle Hay Mall re-opened at the end of August. However, the lack of first run films is not drumming up business, so that has forced the closure. What a bummer... dinner and a movie at Flix Brewhouse was such a good time!!
There is no word on whether or not Flix Brewhouse will ever reopen.
