UPS Has Stopped Picking Up Packages Temporarily From Six Major Retailers

UPS is warning consumers to please shop online early!!! As expected, demand is high during the pandemic for online purchases. This week's Cyber Monday saw a record $10.8 billion spent in online sales. Black Friday came close to those record breaking numbers with $9 billion spent online last Friday. The delivery agencies know what they're doing, they warned major retailers months ago that if they scheduled promotions close together, it would exceed what UPS, FedEx, etc... could realistically deliver. According to an article in the Wall Street Journal, UPS told drivers to stop picking up packages from Macy's, Nike, GAP, and others as they went over capacity. UPS suggests that the retailers spread out order processing. UPS assures us that the packages will get delivered, but please shop early to ensure you get your packages by Christmas.
