Des Moines has ranked second on a list of the safest cities in America to live in. We missed the title of safest city to Green Bay, Wisconsin. These stats are according to US News & World Report. The list was determined based upon population and FBI crime reports. The Des Moines Police Department says shootings are on a downward trend in the city.
Recently, Des Moines, also, ranked as the seventh best place to live in the country and the third cheapest city to live. Maybe we shouldn't tell too many people about this? We know what we have, let's preserve this gem for ourselves. :-)
