Many Businesses Still Require Masks In Des Moines

Iowa's Governor Kim Reynolds announced last week that she was lifting Iowa's COVID-19 safety restrictions. It should be noted that Iowa is last in the country in vaccination distribution, a new strain of COVID-19 has now been detected in the state and an outbreak of COVID-19 in the Iowa State Capitol has popped up.

Despite the Governor's decision, Des Moines Mayor Frank Cownie says the mask mandate for the City of Des Moines remains in effect. According to reporting done by the Des Moines Register, many business owners are, also, not going to lift their safety mandates. The mask mandates will remain in effect at many businesses to protect employees and customers. Don't get rid of those face masks just yet...
