As Black History Month comes to a close this weekend, there are a couple of ways to continue to commemorate. Urban City Magazine is hosting a couple of events. Tomorrow night, February 27, head to Mainframe Studios for a Black Art Exhibit from 6pm - 10pm. Mainframe Studios is located at 900 Keosauqua Way. The art featured is from 7 local artists and ranges from portraits to sculptures. There will be vendors selling arts & crafts, too.
Speaking of shopping... Urban City Magazine is sponsoring a Flea Market at Merle Hay Mall on Sunday from 12pm until 5:30pm near the children's playground featuring goods from local black businesses. Support local. Support local black businesses.
