A very welcome and wonderful sign of the times is the announcement that the Hinterland Music Festival will happen in 2021!!! Organizers announced the line up this morning and tickets will go on-sale this Friday! The festival was cancelled last year due to the pandemic. Organizer Sam Summers told the Des Moines Register that all safety precautions will be in place, including mandatory mask wearing. He said this festival is for those trying to put an end to the pandemic by wearing masks.
Hinterland will take place August 6-8 in St. Charles.

Friday, August 6: Headliner - the Avett Brothers with Old Crow Medicine Show, Caamp, Yola, Shura and Hex Girls.
Saturday, August 7: Headliner - Black Pumas with Tyler Childers, Tanya Tucker, The Marcus King Band, Shooter Jennings, Paul Cauthen, The Dip, Kelsey Waldon, Lillie Mae
Sunday, August 8: Headliner - Elle King with Leon Bridges, Khruangbin, Mt. Joy, Orville Peck, Hamilton Leithauser, Charley Crockett, Bendigo Fletcher, Vincent Neil Emerson
You can purchase tickets to be live at the festival or virtual tickets. General admission tickets are $145 for a three-day pass, VIP for $389, that includes VIP restrooms, bar/lounge, special viewing area, drink tickes, appetizers and a festival T-shirt. The Saints Pass is $749 and includes all the perks of a VIP ticket with reserved parking, free drinks, exclusive access to camping areas, early entry and a screen printed poster.
