The lingering effects of 2020 continue on! As the nation's restaurants scurry to find employees to cover the onslaught of people who want to dine out, we're dealing with (gasp) a chicken wing shortage! Now, if we're talking, locally, I haven't noticed any issues. I ordered Wingstop the other day, I didn't notice a price increase or anything. I have been able to find chicken wings in the chicken section at Hy-Vee. I think we're good.
The rest of the world may not be in as good shape as we are with chicken wings. Apparently, there was an overabundance of chicken wings ordered during the pandemic. If you think about it, chicken wings have always been good takeout food and we did a lot of take out during the pandemic. I'm just warning you, if you notice a price increase the next time you order chicken wings, or if your chicken restaurant runs low.
