Monday Motivation Minute: Habits To Get Your Day Started More Positively

There's no question that starting your day off in a more positive way makes for a more positive day. The problem is, what if you're not a morning person? As a self-proclaimed night owl, I am the worst with mornings! But.... i'm willing to try to make them better.

It took me years before I finally made my bed every day. It's to the point now that if I don't make my bed, my day feels off. Weird, right? How did I get to this point? I finally got a much better bed and chose new bedding. I made up my bed and realized how much better it looks and even feels to have it made every day! The same can be said for other things you can do in the morning to keep it positive. If you want to wake and meditate, think about how much better you will feel if you do it. The benefit may far outweigh the struggle to do it. Create a fun space for your meditations to motivate you. It's a win-win!

Another thing you can do to start your day off on the right foot is keep your phone in another room. The worst way to start the day is with a stressful work email or some bad news on social media. Stay away from the phone. Break that phone habit. I know, it's so hard!

Start your day with a grateful heart. Jot down some things that you're grateful for as a way to transfer positive energy into your day!

Send a text or have a quick call with a friend or family member. Social interaction is very good for the soul.

Let me know if you try any of these things and how they're going and how you've made them a habit in your life.
