Great news!!!! We didn't have to wait that long to get back to the Downtown Farmer's Market we knew pre-pandemic. After taking last year off due to COVID-19, the Downtown Des Moines Farmer's Market came back this month, but scaled down. As of now, the booths are spaced a safe distance apart and only produce is being sold. As of now, there is no live music and no on-site prepared food. Everything, right now, is pre-packaged.
As of Memorial Day weekend, some of the prepared food vendors will be back and so will a few musicians! In the meantime, it's still nice to see the farmer's market back in action!!! Come down this week and stay for a drink or some food at one of the Court Avenue District restaurants. Some of the establishments along Court Avenue have bands that play on Saturday mornings, so there's that!
