Oh, the emotion!!! Last year, the pandemic put a damper on Emory and Helen Westcott of Ankeny's 50th Anniversary plans. The Today Show has been welcoming people on the show who missed out on milestone events last year. This morning, Hoda Kotb officiated over the Westcott's vow renewal ceremony in honor of their anniversary live on the Today show!
As a surprise, the Today show flew their children in to stand up for the couple, including their son whom they had not seen since December of 2019. Al Roker presented them with a honeymoon trip to Napa Valley.
