Your 2018 American Idol is coming to the Des Moines area to perform a free concert on August 28th. Clarksville, Iowa native Maddie Poppe will perform at the grand opening of the Yard in Johnston.
The Yard is a business/greenspace area in Johnston, kind of like a town square. The Yard will be used for outdoor events like concerts and movies.
Jason Walsmith of the Nada's will open the show at 7pm with Maddie taking the stage at 8:30pm. There will be family friendly activities all day long at the Yard on August 28th. The Yard is located at 6245 Merle Hay Road in Johnston.
