If you've ever shopped at Raygun in East Village (or any of their other Midwestern stores), you know their politics lean to the left while keeping it ultra local. Raygun is not one to shy away from controversy. When the owner of Raygun noticed that Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds' reelection campaign was offering donors a t-shirt that looks like something you would find at Raygun, he clapped back.
If you donate $35 or more to Governor Reynolds' reelection campaign, you'll receive a red t-shirt that says in Raygun-esque block lettering "you'll find me at the fair." Raygun acknowledged the style similarity on Twitter and announced their new t-shirt:
