Yesterday was National Neighbor Day. If you live in Des Moines, you probably were celebrating (if you knew about it), but then again, maybe you celebrate everyday! Neighbor.com has ranked the most neighborly cities in the U. S. and Des Moines comes in at number 5 on the list! The cities were ranked in terms of how charitable they are, how much volunteerism there is and how much general happiness is shared by its inhabitants. Madison, Wisconsin ranked on top of this list, a lot of it has to do with their ranking as the happiest city in America.
I think Des Moines has an overabundance of "Iowa Nice..." and that's just fine!
