Mid-American Energy is warning customers that it's going to cost quite a bit more to gas heat your home this Winter. They says the price of natural gas has gone up and that means much bigger bills. They estimate that your gas bill could rise 46 - 96%!!
They try to purchase gas in the warmer months when it's cheaper and store for use in the Winter, but despite those efforts, the price of gas has more than doubled from last year and the bills will be much bigger this year. They do offer a budget billing program. And we can hope that we don't have a super cold Winter, too.
