Des Moines Schools Need Your Old Musical Instruments

The demand for musical instruments for Des Moines Public School students outweighs the supply. Des Moines Public Schools are seeking donors to donate used instruments to help the arts flourish for young band and orchestra students.

With a lot of things in 2021, the slow down of the supply chain is affecting the availability of new instruments for students. If the district had enough money to order 300 new instruments, they would not arrive for a long time, which is why donations of instruments are so needed right now.

If you can donate a musical instrument to Des Moines Public Schools, they are asking that you drop them off weekdays between 8:30am and 4:30pm at the Des Moines Education Association Building at 206 Center Street in Des Moines. You will receive a tax credit for your donation and you'll help a young artist!
