Health experts forever have been telling us how beneficial sleep is to our overall health. A new study finds that people who added one hour of sleep per night to their lives helped them lose weight. Over a two week period, participants in this study consumed an average of 150 calories less calories per day, resulting in an average of two pounds lost in two weeks.
Over the course of the three year study, those that slept an hour more at night, could lose 26 pounds. Doctors say the takeaway is to show us that sleep has a big impact on our hunger hormones.
