Monday Motivation Minute: Trade Your Soda In For Sparkling Water

Less people are drinking soda these days (or pop). More people are drinking water, but sometimes, you want a little boost to your water. New studies have come out that show a lot of benefit to drinking sparking water. I've been open about my weight loss journey. I gave up my soda habit cold turkey. I drink lots of water, but at the end of the day, I like a treat, so I drink a sparkling water with dinner.

Some research says that people like the feel of the carbonation, so it's a mood booster. More research finds that sparkling beverages are associated with events and celebrations, so that is a mood booster to drinking sparkling beverages.

Other research finds that sparkling water may keep you regular, may make you feel fuller than non carbonated water and may provide better hydration than regular water because the natural minerals in sparkling water act as electrolytes.
