As you've heard all day on 107.5 KISS FM and other places, today is International Women's Day. International Women's Day was created in 1911 and began being celebrated in 1914. It's a way to emphasize gender inequality. Each year, there is a theme. This year's theme is #BreakTheBias. As with other movements, it's important to call out gender discrimination, bias and stereotyping when we see it.
The official colors for International Women's Day are purple with green and white.
Whatever color you're wearing today, I hope you feel inspired and full of fight to make the world a more equitable place.
