Communication is key. Conflict isn't always a terrible thing with your significant other if the conflict involves communication and there is a desire on both sides to find a satisfying resolution. A professor at Columbia says, however, that sitting at a table and trying to resolve your issues can lead to nowhere. Instead, he says research shows that a better way to resolve conflict would be to take a walk together. Movement spurs brain activity. He suggests couples end their arguments by doing anything that involves movement, that can be gardening together, jogging together, or even cleaning. Worth a try?
