I have to admit that over this holiday weekend, I went to Wiener's Circle in Chicago and had a delicious char dog. It was so good with all the Chicago dog toppings. I, however, would never want that delicious Vienna Beef Kosher dog in my ice cream!!!
Let the Dogs Out! is a new ice cream flavor at a New York ice cream shop, the Social. The ice cream features carmelized Nathan's Hot Dogs! The hot dogs are in a buttered bun ice cream base. I don't think I would buy a quart of this, but maybe a spoonful.
The carmelized hot dog bits are described as somewhat like an M&M in a candied shell that you can hold in your mouth.
So the next time you're in Prospect Heights in New York City, look up the Social and try Let the Dogs Out!
