Last week, that new Chicken Sandwich at Starbucks sounded amazing. This week? Not so much. In fact, Starbucks has taken the Chicken Maple Butter and Egg Sandwich off the menu after reports of terrible diarrhea from customers who have eaten the sandwich.
Lots of customers have been complaining about the sandwich on social media, complaining of stomach pains. Someone said their sandwich was old in the middle and another said they found a bone in the sandwich.
NBC News is reporting that there have been five reports of illness from consumers who ate the sandwich on the website iwaspoisoned.com.
Starbucks released a statement saying the sandwich did not meet their quality standards and that is why they are pulling the sandwich, not because of an FDA recall or any other food borne illness cause.
