The Iowa State Fair kicks off on Thursday! The Iowa State Fair parade is Wednesday night starting at 6:15pm. The parade celebrating the kickoff to the eleven day Iowa State Fair will roll down Grand Avenue from the Iowa State Capitol to 15th Street.
Expect twice as many floats as last year's scaled down parade with about 200 floats expected to be in tomorrow night's parade.
Be aware of a lot of downtown street closures tomorrow night from about 5pm until 9pm.
If you can't make the parade in person, you can watch on Iowa PBS starting at 6:15pm tomorrow night.
