Did you know the Des Moines International Airport is haunted? So the story goes... there is a meeting room called "The Cloud room" at the airport and legend has it that in the Fall, you can see a deceased young flight attendant running to catch a flight. You can, also, apparently hear laughing and glasses clinking.
There are stories about Lincoln High School, East High School, and Saydel High School, too. The myth is that a little girl sings in the hallways of Saydel High School at night! The Drake University Observatory is said to be haunted, too!
