Merriam Webster dictionary is out with their word of the year for 2022! This year its... GASLIGHTING! Gaslighting is used in our world of "fake news," but it's, also, used in our toxic relationship culture, too. According to Merriam Webster, the definition of gaslighting is "the act or practice of grossly misleading someone especially for one's advantage."
Other popular words in 2022 include Omicron, LGBTQIA, oligarch, codify and raid. Queen Consort became popular upon the death of Queen Elizabeth as many looked up what the word meant when we found out that was Camilla Bowles' new title.
