According to psychology, when you decorate for the holidays says a lot about your personality. I don't think there is anything wrong with you at all even if you don't decorate. I spent most of my adult life NOT decorating. I have always lived in apartments and have gone home for the holidays. My mom goes crazy with decorating, so why do I have to decorate, you know?
Psychologist Dr. Carmen Harra says if you decorate before November, you like to get things done early and anticipate a holiday rush. If you decorate in November or December, you generally are more optimistic and know that you can make changes prior to Christmas. If you wait until the week before Christmas to decorate, you may be more of a procrastinator type and may be slightly pessimistic.
Those that don't decorate at all are said to be the most pessimistic and would like to avoid the holidays all together. I've been a non-decorator many years of my life and agree with that assessment. The past couple of years, I have decorated in November and do feel like a more positive person these days.
