It's starting to seem less and less likely that plans for a TV adaption of "Field Of Dreams" will be made. It was supposed to be created in Iowa and streamed on the Peacock Network. Unfortunately, the Peacock Network passed on the project. That didn't mean the project was dead, it just meant it had to get shopped to another network or streaming service. Governor Reynolds even offered up millions of dollars to NBCUniversal to get the project made in Iowa. It was going to be filmed in Polk City, too!
Now, there is word that the grant to have the show made here has been turned down and the project remains on hold. The grant was going to be given to have the project made here to raise the profile of Iowa. Governor Reynolds has $100 million in grants to help raise Iowa's national profile.
