Over the holidays, a worker at the Des Moines International Airport found a dog tied up outside the airport. Employees inside knew the origin of the dog, the owner had been told he couldn't board the flight without the dog being in a kennel. According to police, he walked away, then returned without the dog and boarded his flight home. Des Moines Police tracked him down and he's been charged with animal abandonment.
The Animal Rescue League of Iowa stepped in and took the dog in, checked her out and now, she's been adopted! They renamed her "Allie!" The family that adopted Allie were at the airport when she was abandon.
